About Malte
Malte serves as Director of AI and Security, guiding how DivergentCents builds trustworthy, AI-assisted tools and protects the people who rely on them. His focus is making sure that as technology does more of the heavy lifting, it stays safe, transparent, and worthy of trust.
By profession, Malte is Senior Director of Engineering at Rippling, where he leads engineering for the company’s finance product suite — corporate cards, payments, travel, and expense management — across teams in New York and Bangalore. Earlier he led Paxos’ largest engineering organization, building customer-facing products for regulated stablecoins, crypto trading, and settlement infrastructure used by partners like PayPal and Nubank, and he spent six years as VP of Data and AI at Fareportal, rebuilding the machine-learning and real-time data systems behind one of North America’s largest flight-booking platforms. A Cologne native and longtime New Yorker, he earlier co-founded and served as CTO of Tripcombi, a flight-search startup acquired in 2016.
